ARTIST STATEMENT: 
I am a pianist, composer, producer, and bandleader creating music as a vessel for healing, unity, justice, and cultural remembrance. Rooted in the jazz and blues legacies of Kansas City and St. Louis, my work emerges from what I call the “Confluence of Cool”—where ancestral tradition meets forward vision. I blend jazz improvisation, hip-hop rhythm, soul, pop, and sacred sound to create concept albums, live performances, theatrical works, and multimedia collaborations. My practice is Socratic in spirit: I use storytelling and collaboration to ask questions, preserve memory, and connect communities across genre, generation, and geography. I treat sound as both technology and medicine—a force that carries history, builds empathy, inspires joy, and reminds us who we are and what we belong to together.
